Milk Protien Casein

Do you ever tried of loosing weight and gain the bulk as well? Bulk means the muscles and not the lump down the torso. I have been notorious as a couch potato; believe me; in my early graduation school days, but now in my job, I cannot find anyone who has better body than me. No I am not boasting, I can give proper evidence.

So what I have done different to bring down the weight and get the weight in the right shape and direction. Casien protien is the answer. Casein consists of a fairly high number of proline peptides, which do not interact. There are also no disulfide bridges. As a result, it has relatively little tertiary structure. It is relatively hydrophobic, making it poorly soluble in water. It is found in milk as a suspension of particles called casein micelles which show some resemblance with surfactant-type micellae in a sense that the hydrophilic parts reside at the surface. So the secret is out. Here is the further details:

Weight lifters sometimes use casein protein powder as a source of amino acids because of the slow digestion rate. Casein is high in glutamine which is the primary amino acid in muscles and body tissue. It helps build lean muscle tissue and is a large part of a protein nutrition based diet.

How casien is available?

Casein protein is the predominant protein found in milk. It makes up about 80% of the protein in cow’s milk, while the remaining 20% of protein in milk is whey. Casein protein is extracted from the milk through ultra filtration, so no chemicals. This process increases the amount of bioactive milk peptides that support immune function as well as enhance muscle growth. It is is a slow-digesting protein because it forms a gel in the gut, which results in a steady release of amino acids into the blood stream over time. Research shows that when you consume casein, you will reach a peak in blood amino acids and protein synthesis between three to four hours.

It has a powerful effect, however, in suppressing protein breakdown. In other words, it’s an awesome muscle-sparing protein. Muscle growth is dependent on the balance of protein synthesis and protein breakdown. To tip the balance in your favor, you want to increase protein synthesis and decrease protein breakdown. You can achieve this by supplementing with whey protein.
