Fever is a 1982 novel by Robin Cook and is in the category of medical mystery. The main character is a small girl Angela with cystic fibrosis. She goes to a hospital where one of the worker is schizophrenic. Fever is an acute, highly infectious disease caused by the typhoid bacillus, Salmonella typhosa, transmitted by contaminated food or water and characterized by bad rashes, high fever, bronchitis, and intestinal hemorrhaging.
