Earache is also known as otalgia or otodynia. Earache problem is caused at ear. Ear can contains the three parts such as outer, middle and inner. This ache may be caused at the middle part of the ear and inner part of the ear. Earache is caused in both children's and adults also. The earache pain is sometimes temporary and permanent. The most of the earache problem can be caused by the infection in the ear.

Home remedies for earache

  • Pour some garlic juice in the paining ear; its antibiotic qualities will help to relieve the pain. If your earache is due to rise in altitude than just chew gum or yawn. This will contract the muscles and open the Eustachian tubes.
  • For swimmer's ear, put some mineral oil in both ears before going in the water. Apply some heat to your aching ear using a heating pad or a warm cloth. Put few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the aching ear. Put two drops of holy basil leaves’ juice in the aching ear.
  • One of the most effective remedy is using hydrogen peroxide. Put two to three drops of hydrogen peroxide in ears and allow it to settle in for few minutes and then flush your ear carefully with warm water. This can help you in cleaning with the waxy build up in your ears. Dry your ear with soft dry cotton cloth after cleaning them.

Natural home remedy for earache

  • Mix lobelia and garlic oil or olive oil, place a few drops in the ear and plug it with cotton this will help with pain.

Diet for earache

  • Take Vitamin C to enhance your immune system. It is a natural antibiotic and antihistamine that helps to decrease inflammation and fever. Zinc is also helpful in reducing ear infection.
  • Do not eat food that may cause cold and cough to you as ear, nose and throat are interrelated. Eat green vegetables rich in minerals.
  • Do not smoke and keep your ear always clean.
