It is an infectious disease. If a child catches it, other children get the infection from him. It is also called Pertussis. The literal meaning of Pertussis is too much cough. Simple home remedy for whooping cough using Garlic : (1) Soak overnight 5 almonds in water. Peel them the following morning and grind them along with some sugar candy and a clove of garlic and give it to the child to eat. It will cure the whooping cough in two or three days. Make the child wear a garland of garlic cloves and massage his chest with garlic oil. It will be helpful in whooping cough.

(2) Mix 10 drops of fresh garlic juice with four grams. Each of honey and water. Give such a dose to the child four times a day.

How to get rid of whooping cough - Getting rid of whooping cough

Good home remedy for whooping cough using maize : Burn a maize cob and grind it into a fine powder. Add rock salt to taste. Take ½ tsp. of it four times daily with hot water. It will be helpful in curing the whooping cough.

Effective home remedy for whooping cough using sugarcane : Taking 62 ml. of radish juice mixed in sugarcane juice is beneficial in whooping cough.

Natural home remedy for whooping cough using coconut : Give 4 ml. of pure coconut oil without any fragrance to one year old child four times daily. It will be beneficial treatment for whooping cough.

Herbal home remedy for whooping cough using basil leaves : Grind basil leaves and black pepper in equal quantity. Make very small pills. Suck a pill at a time four times a day. It will cure whooping cough.

Diet tips for whooping cough

Alum salt : Taking 1 gm. of alum salt with hot water daily provides relief from whooping cough.

doves : Roast cloves, mix with honey and eat them. It will cure whooping cough.

Guava : Roast a guava in hot sand or ashes and eat it. It is beneficial in whooping cough.
